What is this workshop about?
Quadrotor is a remotely piloted aircraft finding major applications in research, law enforcement, and commercial purposes. The simple four rotor design of quadrotors is easy to work with and modify, allowing engineers to find better applications each day.
This workshop introduces participants to the technologies involved in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and the techniques involved in making a working Quadrotor. Students practically understand the overall design, configuration and testing of the Quadrotor project.
Course Outcomes
Introduction to Rotary-wing aircraft
Introduction to design and development of Multi Rotor Vehicles
Understanding the Electronics circuitry involved in Quadrotor
Learning about the working of accelerometer sensors, gyroscopes and controllers
Hands-on experience for participants with DC motors, electronic speed controllers and Quadcopter Embedded control board

Understanding rotary-wing aircraft and their Dynamics
Exposure to Design and concepts of Embedded Systems behind Multicopters
Fabrication of Quadcopter frame and its circuit
Calibration and Testing of the developed Quadcopter

All the above components would be provided during the program to participants in groups of 5 but would be taken back at the end. This is being done to reduce the cost of the program and make it affordable for students who do not want to buy the take-away kit.
Take-away kit consists of all the above items excluding the items marked with *. Take-away kit can be purchased at the venue by paying an additional fee of ₹ 16,500.

Kochi, also known as Cochin, is a major port city on the west coast of India by the Arabian Sea and is part of the district of Ernakulam in the state of Kerala. Kochi is often called by the name Ernakulam, which refers to the mainland part of the city.
The city of Kochi (pop. 601,574) is the most densely populated city in the state and is part of an extended metropolitan region (pop. 2.1 million), which is the largest urban agglomeration in Kerala. Kochi city is also a part of the Greater Cochin region and is classified as a Tier-II city by the Government of India. The civic body that governs the city is the Cochin Municipal Corporation, which was constituted in the year 1967, and the statutory bodies that oversee its development are the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) and the Goshree Islands Development Authority (GIDA).
