Solar energy is that energy which we gain from the sun through radiation on daily basis. Solar energy is present on the earth continuously and the energy generated by the sun is abundant for all types of application but harnessing that energy is the major factor.
. Solar energy is freely available and the best part is It doesn’t produce any gases that mean it is pollution free and even affordable in cost. It has a low maintenance cost. The only problem with the solar system it cannot produce energy in bad weather condition. But it has greater efficiency than other energy sources. It requires a great deal of initial investment but has a long lifespan and has lower emission.

This MATLAB project will require a basic knowledge of working of the solar energy system, Solar PV Systems and basic knowledge of mathematical modeling which will be very useful for the project. We have to start the project by modelling the solar PV system. These all system will be interlinked with each other to give a simulation working of the Solar energy system to reach the optimum result we have to understand the basics of tuning control systems which in turn will make this system more realistic.
First step we have to take is to design the PV system(Photovoltaic system) this system consists of an assembly of solar cells, connections, protective parts, supports etc. now when the solar energy hits the solar cells, electrons are knocked loose from the atoms in the semiconductor material, creating electron-hole pair, when the connections are made the electrons are forwarded in form of electric current. The depletion layer capacitance is neglected in modeling. The output voltage is given by the Shockley equation which describes the interdependent of current and voltage equation which describes the interdependent of current and voltage in a solar cell.
