In this project you will learn to use SIM SCALE, an online tool for performing the CFD analysis of a formula style racing car. SIM SCALE allows us to upload and perform analysis online so that we do CFD on even low end computers.

This is a scaled down setup for an electro - pneumatic sorting machine that can sort objects based on their colour. Here, we will sort defective objects from a moving conveyor belt using a cylinder and optical sensor.

Rotating shafts have applications as power transmitting devices everywhere around us. Car engines, aeroplane engines, fans,etc use a rotating shaft to transmit power. These shafts can experience whirling if they are not properly machined or installed. An unbalance in the shaft, misalignment of bearings or an external impact affects the life of the shaft. It will fail if it reaches its critical speeds.

In metro cities, traffic is a huge problem and it takes a minimum of 1 hour to reach your destination. Cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, etc. are currently facing this problem and need an appropriate solution to resolve this problem. With IoT coming to India, an intelligent traffic management system can be designed to deal with this problem. This system will monitor the vehicle count on every road and set the priority accordingly. The main component of this system is the IR (Infrared) sensor which is to be installed in the lanes so that it can count the vehicle and regulate traffic.

Fire is disastrous and it is important to take measures before a fire breaks out. Nowadays, fire detectors are installed almost in every public place be it malls, residential buildings, shops, and industries. These detectors alert about the fire and smoke early and inform using siren or buzzers. The traditional detectors only when the smoke or fire reaches a threshold, only then it triggers the buzzers which are not effective compared to the lives at stake. This project combines the traditional detectors with IoT, this not only signals the fire breakout but sends related information to the authorities timely so that they can avoid such mishaps even before it takes place.

Farmers have large portions of land which they use for farming and irrigation. It is difficult for them to track and take care of each portion of it. There is a possibility of uneven crop distribution or uneven water from sprinklers. This results in loss of crop and leads to financial loss as well. This is where IoT changes dynamics and eases the work of farmers. This IoT based system uses the nodemcu and dht11 sensor to trace the moisture level in the soil and also tracks the condition of the land. It uses thingspeak to receive data from the system and cluster it to get a detailed report of the land. Water pumps and incorporated on the system to regulate and sprinkle water when the soil needs it.
