In this era of technological advancement, we use automation for everything. There are many techniques to control devices automatically using Arduino, raspberry pi, which requires internet and some more modules to make it work.
It also requires a lot of programming to be done to make it work. Besides, this technique is costlier as we are using sensor and many more things, to control the respective appliances.
Skyfi Labs gives you the easiest way to learn and build this project.
In this project, we will be using DTMF decoder to decode the DTMF sounds produced by the normal dial pad in the mobiles or landlines, etc… we are going to automate the home system using the telephone lines. It is cheaper when compared to the other systems. In this project, we use two subsystems one is a remote control system, which uses the tones that are generated from phone or landline. The other system is a phone monitoring system by which we can monitor the status of appliances.
This project is also secure as we are using a secure pin system for authorization. This avoids the non-authorized usage of the appliances. This does not require any Wi-Fi or such components as only DTMF decoder and relays are used.
Requirements:
DTMF decoder.
Two-Channel relay.
PIC16F877 processor.
Knowledge of electrical connections.
