This new game-changing technology is being so popular because it easily overcomes the issues related with traditional wind turbines such as maintenance, noise, planting cost and logistics whereas the vortex wind turbine gives a cheaper alternative with much better efficiency and of a long life cycle compared to conventional wind turbines.

The energy conversion starts form linear oscillation of the mast due to wind to rotational motion of the generators. The vortex wind turbines works on the principle that when the wind hits the column mast, it starts to vibrate and this vibrational energy is converted to electrical energy (alternator power). The wind projected surface of the mast from one particular direction streamlines the flow of wind and departs to get sheared off. Here the mast is subjected to wind energy it oscillates due to the formation of vortices formed around the structure of the mast which is converted to rotational force for generation of electricity. We can also connect the lower end of the mast with the linear alternator directly. The construction of this system eliminates the frictional wear and tear due to which the maintenance cost is reduced by 53% compared to conventional wind turbine.
